The Disability Action Center hosted a formal dress giveaway in Marion County on Friday morning.
Special needs girls ages fourteen and up were fitted with dresses and shoes for the ‘Night to Shine’ prom event that is scheduled for February 8. South Ridge Church will host the evening events that includes a red carpet treatment, paparazzi, limousine rides and a night of dancing.
“It is certainly something all ladies enjoy, dressing up and being like a princess for the day. It’s a great opportunity for our individuals to have that opportunity to just feel really special and enjoy a little social time, a little dancing and to really just enjoy life,” said Maggie DeNoon, program coordinator for the Disability Action Center.
The Tim Tebow foundation sponsors the prom that will be held at over 700 churches worldwide.
