Marion

Council met in the town of White Hall Monday evening.

Committee reports for the month of March were announced from the legal, public safety, fire and police departments.

The month of April is Fair Housing Month, and council signed a fair housing resolution formally recognizing the month. Mayor Guy Ward signed the proclamation which, “urges all citizens to support and endorse the practice and policy of Fair Housing in their personal lives, as well as in their workday duties.”

Ward also touched on the importance of the month.

“Planning and development council asked us to do this, and so, everybody deserves fair housing, and we just want to make awareness of it, so this is our way of doing it,” Ward said.

Citizens of White Hall can also look forward to clean up day, which will be held in May.
