The Fairmont Federal Credit Union of Fairmont hosted an event Friday, bringing families from around the area together for learning and fun.
The ‘Save, Sip, Stories and Shred’ event hosted activities for all to enjoy.
Stations were set up by the Marion County Public Library Bookmobile, Resolute Forrest Products recycling truck and The Sip Station Mobile Beverage truck, where visitors had the opportunity to win free frozen drinks.
“It’s just a fun little event for kids to teach them about savings. We were playing Plinko, we have stories on the lawn with Ashley, so she read a story to them at 10:30 and 11:30 ” said Stacey Harvey, Vice President of Fairmont Federal Credit Union Market Development.
Children also had the chance to meet ‘Count Earn’est’, as the credit union spoke on ways to save and assist families by matching the children’s first deposit in their new account.
