Fairmont Regional Medical Center host free screening event for patients

As part of Fairmont Regional Medical Center’s ‘Caring for Our Community’ Program, the center hosted a ‘Know Your Numbers’ event for all guest Friday morning.

The event featured free blood pressure screenings, as well as A1C and lipid panel screenings to help patients be proactive to warning signs when it comes to preventing heart disease and other cardiovascular incidents.

“If we can help one person today who doesn’t get these test regularly and comes out and has an abnormal result or something and takes it to their primary care doctor and it prevents something long term, then we are doing our job here and that why we are doing this here in the community.” said Steve Bovino, Fairmont Regional Medical Center’s Director of Community Relations.

Employees want to remind patients that if they experience any warning signs of cardiovascular issues….to contact their primary care physician.
