FAIRMONT, W.Va. – On Friday, Fairmont State University reopened its admissions and welcome center after renovations over the past few months.

Over the past year, the welcome center was re-branded with new TV’s sharing student stories, student centered décor around campus, VIP student parking spaces and other cosmetic upgrades.

“We want them to picture them self as an individual here, as someone who is valued, someone who is important to us, so we really try to make it an effort to personalize this to them, to the student. We have again a parking spot with their name on it, we feature their name in our lobby, we cater the visit to what they want it to be,” said Summer Boggess, FSU director of admissions and welcome center.

Fairmont State University’s goal with the new renovations was to make it modern, comfortable and to make you feel welcomed home.
