Fairmont State University cuts ribbon during grand opening of public Starbucks

Fairmont State University and Aladdin Food Management held a grand opening of the new Starbucks Monday morning on campus.

Starbucks offers a full-service menu of handcrafted espressos and blended beverages, along with great tasting food items for the community and public to enjoy.

The opening of the campus’ Starbucks marks the third Aladdin food management national chain restaurant added to the Falcon Center, as Chilaca and Chic-Fil-A opened in fall of 2018.

“It’s been fantastic. The partnership that we have been able to make with Fairmont State University has been a true partnership. To have this as the last piece of the puzzle is truly amazing for the community, for our company and for the school itself.” said Paul Kowalczyk, managing director of Aladdin Food Management.

The new coffee shop, located in the main entrance of the Falcon Center creates easy accessibility for the community, as service parking is also available for a quick grab & go.

“Now we have the ability to bring together the community in a place where they can be with each other, where they can study, where they can converse with each other, where they can be family and this is what we have always wanted. A destination.” said Mirta Martin, president of Fairmont State University.

Students can use falcon or flex dollars, cash, credit or Starbucks gift cards.

The new Starbucks provides seating for 68, is Wi-Fi accessible, and open everyday from 7 am-10 pm.
