Fairmont’s Salvation Army Family Store plans to reopen after car crash incident

The Salvation Army’s Family Store of Fairmont is scheduled to reopen this weekend after a car drove through it last February.

The family store serves as the number-one income source for the Salvation Army’s programs to serve the public in Marion County – including emergency food parcels, utility assistance, eviction prevention assistance, prescription assistance and senior boxes with USDA food.

The store will be dedicated at 11:45 Saturday March 9th, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon by the Marion County Chamber of Commerce.

The public is invited to the free event.
