First Back to School Bash at WV Raptor Rehabilitation brings fun for the family

Marion

This was the Raptor Rehabilitation Center’s first time hosting a back to school bash for the kids within the community.

This five-hour event was free to the public and was for kids of all ages getting ready to start school.

Volunteer at the raptor rehabilitation center, Jessica Valentine, said this event included different family fun activities and, of course, the popular raptor show and display.

“We had bowling, we had a really fun scavenger hunt, we had what we call animal encounters, and we had a bird out like every hour we would switch them out so that way the children could meet the different species that are in our area,” said Valentine.

This was the first year for this event but volunteers said they hope to see this become an annual event for the kids within the community.
