Marion County Public Library celebrates Charles Schulz week

Marion

Charlie Brown has been popular for a long time, and this week the Marion County Public Library is hosting events to help celebrate Charlie Brown and Charles Schulz.

On Wednesday night, the library hosted one of its monthly 3D printing classes, where guests could design their own Charlie Brown houses.

The houses were designed on iPads and will later be printed for each individual to take home.

Programing Librarian Liz Butta said this is one of many events coming up this week and weekend related to Charlie Brown.

“We let kids come in and also adults.  It’s grades fourth and up.  They came in, we teach them how to make a graphic design intended for 3D printing, and then, once we teach them how to make the design, we actually print them out for them in their choice of colors, and then they are able to come and pick them up later and take them home with them,” said Butta.

There will be events this weekend held at the Marion County Public Library that will continue celebrating the week of Charles Schulz and Charlie Brown.
