Mon Power officials are taking proactive steps to make sure your home remains cool during the summer heat.
Mon Power spokesperson, Todd Myers says the process covers a wide range of routine checks including ‘laser reading’ for overheated equipment.
“We want to make sure we know any of the big problems so we can take care of them before this hot air conditioning season. Same thing with the smaller wood poles. There’s cross arms on top of the pole made of wood. We want to make sure they are in tip top shape,” said Myers.
Mon Power officials say that there are multiple substation checks that happen throughout the year to help prepare homes to withstand extreme weather in both summer and winter seasons.
