MPLS of Mannington host tech time for students to learn more within the field of S.T.E.A.M

Mannington Public Library is looking to grow the knowledge and interest of middle schoolers throughout the area, as the library hosts a STEAM-friendly program focusing on 3D printing, lego robotics and other projects.

The hour long class allows guests to learn the importance of science, technology, engineering, arts and math all while creating a fun atmosphere for kids to better equip themselves for the future.

“It might seem a little intimidating to kids at first, so one of our goals is to sort of make that fear go away. That it’s not that difficult. That they can do it because a lot of times kids think oh that a really neat thing, but I don’t think I can do that. We try to show them that yeah they definitely can.” said Keith Hubbard, library clerk.

Tech Time With Keith will take place every Thursday starting at 2.
