Multiple non-profits prepare for Spring into Action fair

Marion

Marion County continued to plan for another year of fun and education, as the Spring into Action fair added more non-profit organizations to the festivities.

The fun will include live animal adoption centers, a dunk tank with Fairmont State University basketball and football head coaches and much more.

The event also provides an opportunity for people to learn about area’s organizations and what they do.

“One of the main purposes of the Spring into Action fair is to learn about the non-profits in the community. People know about a few, but don’t realize we have 26 non-profits currently signed up and that is a huge number to a lot of people. They do not recognize there is that much going on in Marion County.” said Jason Conard, Mountain State Waste business development director.

The free event, hosted by Leadership of Marion County, will be held on May 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for free at Veteran Square.
