A Fairmont non-profit organization is looking to preserve traditions within agriculture, arts and education by hosting its first benefit festival.
‘Wild & Wonderful Wellness Inc.’ partnered with Indian Meadows Campground, to host the event and provide multiple opportunities for visitors to enjoy live music and learning experiences.
“The proceeds will be going to our first project initiative, which is kind of like a pop-up park in Fairmont, but it’s going to be a entertainment and educational space. We’ll have a stage and a series of raised bleachers that have garden beds in the back and then a little workshop area at the top entrance.” said Maria Allison, executive director of Wild & Wonderful Wellness Inc.
“There’s going to be some crafts here and some artwork, as well as food vendors here. [It] should just make for a great day. [We] couldn’t have asked for any better weather. It’s sunny and no clouds so far and just expected to be just a great day,” said Chuck Snider, campground owner.
The benefit festival will host events all throughout the evening until midnight, including foraging workshops, multiple bands and even hula hooping workshops for children in attendance.
