HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – Marshall University is doing their part to help out during this government shutdown and offering free basketball tickets to federal workers.
Mike Hamrick, Marshall University’s Athletic Director, said in a tweet that federal workers can get two complimentary tickets to the Thundering Herd’s Men’s Basketball game on Thursday, January 7th, 2018, against the Florida Atlantic University Owls.
On behalf of @HerdZone I would like to offer all federal workers two complimentary tickets to our men’s basketball game next Thursday vs. FAU. We will provide your popcorn as well. Hamrick says that they will provide popcorn for the workers as well.
In order to claim the tickets, you just need to present proper ID at the ticket office.
The United State Government has been in partial shutdown for 21 days now, and if it is still shut down during the game, it will have been going on for 27 days.
