Miracle Treat Day directly impacts employees at Dairy Queen in Bridgeport

News

Ice cream is always a sweet treat, and is even sweeter when it raises money for a great cause.

Thursday is Dairy Queen’s annual Miracle Treat Day. All day long, Dairy Queen’s everywhere are giving one dollar from every blizzard sold to the Children’s Miracle Network. Here locally, all the money raised will go to WVU Medicine Children’s.

At the Dairy Queen on Main Street in Bridgeport, the employees there are impacted directly by the fundraising events.

“Directly to us, we have a co-worker whose daughter, Jazzy, is in the hospital so all the donations are going to that hospital and it can really help her too so it touches our hearts,” said Krystelle Wertheim, employee.

Employees added they usually sell quite a few blizzards on Miracle Treat Day.
