Learning about the brain and ways to keep our brains and bodies healthy is something worth while, and on Monday night the Mollohan Center in Fairmont hosted a brain science conference.
This was the first of the two-night conference, which is open and free to the public.
The conference included guests from around the community interested in learning about the science of the brain and ways to prevent health issues.
The executive director of the event, Elizabeth Shahan, said specialists from around the area were in attendance to discuss and educate those interested.
“We have everything from dementia to autism, nicotine in the teenage brain, addiction and a host of other things, but they can sit down with a topic expert and have that conversation one on one,” said Shahan.
