Many Morgantown residents may not know the history behind the city.
Easton Roller Mill in Morgantown is trying to teach residents this history by offering guided tours throughout the mill.
The guided tour is offered on the fourth Sunday of every month from now until September. Mill Days tour guide Nicholas Hess said these guides are free to the public and include an hour-long tour around the mill to learn about the history of Morgantown and see some of the preserved artifacts.
“If you don’t know local history, I think it’s something interesting to know. Uh, you should always know about the place you live, or if you’re just traveling through, I think it’s always an interesting thing to know. Uh, and we have people every day that are from Morgantown that pass by it every day that have never stopped in and are absolutely thrilled that they did at the end of the tour,” said Hess.
These guided tours also include several artifacts dating back as far as the 1800s.
