Local business changes hours amid work stoppage

With a week-long work stoppage, local students had a lot of free time.

The Launch Pad Trampoline Park in Morgantown has been working to help parents who need somewhere to take their kids during days off from school.

For the past week, they have opened early in order to provide a fun place for kids to go while school is out.

Representatives said if schools are out again Thursday, they’ll continue with the earlier hours.

“Well we wanted to show our teachers support. Let them come jump, blow off some steam. We know that the kids kind of feel cooped up because they had so many call-off days during the winter. So we wanted to give them something extra to do,” said Rachel Kittle, general manger.

Launch Pad’s early hours start at noon. They offer student, teacher and state employee discounts.
