The Mon Health Medical Center held its first of two bingo game events at the Knights of Columbus building in Star City.
This was a fundraiser for Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary, which directly benefits patient care and provides funds for medical supplies.
Director of volunteer services at Mon Health Medical Center, Aimee Harris, said nearly 200 participants were in attendance to play 20 rounds of bingo in order to get a chance at winning a Coach brand purse or wallet as well as other various door prizes offered.
“It costs $20 per person to come and play, that gets you 20 games,” Harris said. “We also sell extra cards and we’re raffling some items off as well.”
This bingo fundraiser takes place twice a year, and employees say its biggest fundraiser is the ‘Ball of the Year’ and will be held in November.
