In Monongalia County Tuesday evening, there was a legislative launch, which consists of a pre-legislative session followed by a wrap-up.
The Chamber’s legislative wrap-up was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Suncrest Town Centre in Morgantown.
13 representatives from around the area were on a panel to discuss different issues within the community and to discuss what went on during the pre-legislative session.
Vice president of government affairs, Eldon Callen, said this was the first time the wrap-up was held in conjunction with the Morgantown Board of Realtors.
“This is an opportunity for our members to talk to and ask questions about what happened in the session and what the senator or delegate feels was positive about the session in terms of our issues and things that we’re concerned about,” said Callen.
With the Morgantown Board of Realtors in attendance for the wrap-up, one of the things discussed was affordable housing within Monongalia County.
