The Morgantown City Council held its second and last meeting of the month where the Mayor officially announced the month of May as building safety month.
A few main issues were discussed in the meeting including the reading on the parking ordinance, which would allow for new parking permits within different parking districts throughout the city.
Morgantown City Manager Paul Brake said with the city recently receiving additional revenues through construction, different budget amendments that will be added was a necessary discussion on the agenda.
“On infrastructure type of projects, one time expenditures, things like that whether it be additional road paving or you know buying additional equipment, there’s any number of things that we could be setting those dollars aside for,” said Brake.
The use of the near million-dollar addition received through the city’s construction will be decided at upcoming council meetings.
