July is national Hot Dog Month, but Wednesday is National Hot Dog Day.
Philly Pretzel Factory in Morgantown was selling hot dogs for just one dollar all day to celebrate the holiday.
The chain was even giving away free hot dogs to customers between 5 and 6 p.m.
This was the first National Hot Dog Day at this location, which just opened in February.
Some customers got a special gift as well.
“The first 100 customers, they got a free punch card for a one-dollar hot dog every day in August. They were lucky. We ran out in two hours,” said owner Kendon Spering.
Spering said they easily sold 500 pretzel dogs by 5:30 and still had the dinner rush to go.
