Josh Bell, Tyler Glasnow and other Pirates visited the Ronald McDonald House in Morgantown Wednesday.
Bell and his fellow Buccos served dinners to families who are staying at the house. Those families traveled long distances so their son or daughter could receive care at a local hospital.
The Pirates tried to give those families a break from the stresses they’ve experienced.
“We had two families who, actually, their children had surgery today,” said Megan Skubovius, Ronald McDonald House director of development. So to be able to come here, have fun, forget about whatever else is going on, it’s just a wonderful gift, especially around this time of year.”
The Pirates stopped in Morgantown during their annual Care-A-Van tour.
