Sports bars preparing for in-state rivalry crowds

Monongalia

It’s the middle of March, which mean March Madness is in full swing.

Tomorrow the Mountaineers take on its in-state rival, The Marshall Thundering Herd.

Many of the sports bars around town are preparing for the large crowds expected during tomorrow’s game, one of those being Buffalo Wild Wings.

Buffalo Wild Wings Manager, Trey Witt, says they are preparing for the crowds with an overstock staff.

“Getting ready for the big game. We got WVU Marshal tomorrow, it’s going to be at 9:45 I’m pretty sure,” Witt said. “Got 275 20 drafts, two for 10 shareable. Looking to have a pretty packed house with students coming back from spring break.”

Most say the next best place to watch tomorrow’s game other than in person is at places like Buffalo Wild Wings and other sports bars around town.

Number five West Virginia University is hosting Number 13 Marshall tomorrow for the second round. Tip off will be at 9:40 p.m.
