West Virginia Black Bears host annual Miracle League Camp for Stepping Stone athletes

Baseball is a popular sport within the community and Saturday was a day for two teams coming together to enjoy the sport.

The West Virginia Black Bears minor league baseball team paired up with Stepping Stones for the annual Miracle League Camp.

This camp is put on every year by the Black Bears as a way of connecting with the Stepping Stones athletes.

Zach Kone, Black Bears player, said this camp included six different interactive baseball stations for the Stepping Stones athletes to participate in with members of the Black Bears.

“It’s awesome, it really is I feel like we come away with it with more than they do honestly, it’s just a really great feeling, as he just hits a home run, yeah it’s just a really good feeling to see everyone just coming out and enjoying the game we all love,” said Kone.

The Miracle League Camp is an annual event that the Black Bears said will continue for years to come at Mon County Ball Park.
