Mountaineer Play-By-Play Announcer, Tony Caridi, was in Harrison County Wednesday afternoon teaching kids about West Virginia.

Caridi read his book, “Where, Oh Where, Oh Where Could We Go?” to Lost Creek Elementary students.

The book came out nearly two years ago. He says he enjoys reading it to elementary school kids letting them know how special they are to be West Virginians.

“Try to encourage them and let them know that they have been into a very special place, which is very very different,” said Caridi. “There are very different sides to West Virginia. There is the Eastern panhandle, the Northern panhandle, different terrain different features that you can take advantage of right in your home state.”

Caridi says a Bridgeport native did the artwork for the book. He says she has a hidden outline of the state on every page making it more fun for the kids to read.
