The North Central West Virginia Airport experienced cancellations due to Hurricane Florence. The Allegiant flight service to Myrtle Beach was canceled on Thursday because of the pending weather conditions and safety concerns.
The airport director said he also assumes the Allegiant flight service to Myrtle Beach on Sunday to be canceled.
However, the airport will stay busy and prepared if other flights have to make landings at the airport due to weather.
“We might service a place that needs to bring aircraft in because of the affected areas so our airline operations will be changed because we will be missing out on those Allegiant flights,” said Rick Rock, director.
Rock added that the United service to Chicago and D.C remains unaffected.
