Barbour County

  • Residential trick-or-treat in Philippi will be held on Wednesday, October 31 from 5:30-7 p.m.
  • Philippi Main Street's merchant trick-or-treat will also be held on Wednesday, October 31 from 5:30-7 p.m. Costume judging will follow at 7 p.m. in the Rite-Aid parking lot followed by a Halloween parade.
  • The Philippi Public Library will host a 'Haunted Library' during Philippi trick-or-treat from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31. The library will also be participating in Halloween ComicFest, the second largest event in the comic book industry where comic shops, schools and libraries across the nation give away Halloween-themed comic books for free, on Saturday, October 27 from noon to 4 p.m.
  • The Union community will hold a trunk-or-treat event and haunted hayride on Saturday, October 20. The kitchen opens at 5:30 p.m., trunk-or-treat starts at 6:30, and the hayride will follow.


Doddridge County

  • The town of West Union will hold their residential trick-or-treat from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30.
  • The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department is holding their annual Halloween party on Saturday, October 27 from 12:30-7:30 p.m. Hay rides begin at 1 p.m., and trick-or-treat is from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Gilmer County

  • The Gilmer Public Library will hold their annual Halloween bash on Wednesday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m.
  • The Gilmer County Family Resource Network will host a Fall Festival and Resource Fair at The Thomas Center on School House Hill in Sand Fork on Friday, October 26 from 5-7 p.m.
  • The Gilmer County Historical Society will host a Haunted Halloween Tea Party on Sunday, October 21 from 2-4 p.m. A $2 admission fee includes a ticket for a door prize, a Drocon Drone, and a variety of teas will be available to taste. Proceeds wil benefit the society.
  • The Gilmer Public Library will host a Halloween double movie matinee on Saturday, October 13 at noon. Disney's Hocus Pocus and Disney's Coco will be shown.

Harrison County

  • Residential trick-or-treat in Clarksburg will take place on Wednesday, October 31 from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • The City of Clarksburg will hold a downtown merchants trick-or-treat event on Main Street on Tuesday, October 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. 
  • The National Alliance for Law Enforcement Support's 3rd annual trunk-or-treat event will take place at the Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport on Thursday, October 18 from 6-8 p.m. in the mall parking lot. Officers from across the county will distribute candy in their decorated cruisers.
  • The 5th annual Zombie Walk by Spirit Halloween will be held at the Meadowbrook Mall from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 20. The cost is $5 per zombie, and all proceeds go to WVU Medicine Children's. From noon to 6 p.m., professional makeup artists will do your zombie makeup for a $25 donation inside the Spirit Halloween store located near Target, and at 7 p.m., the walk begins in front of Marshalls.
  • The Nutter Fort Elementary PTSO will host their 4th annual, community-wide trunk-or-treat event in the school parking lot on Saturday, October 27 from 2-4 p.m.
  • The town of Anmoore will hold their first Trunk-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 27 in the Anmoore Fire Hall parking lot. Trunk-or-treat will begin at 3 p.m., and a party for prizes for costumes and trunk decorations will begin at 4 p.m.
  • The Salem Center on Sunbridge Drive in Salem will hold their annual trick-or-treat and Halloween party on Monday, October 29 from 6-8 p.m.
  • The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center will host the 30th anniversary movie screening of Beetlejuice on Tuesday, October 30 from 7-9:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the movie starts at 7. 
  • Carder Motors, Inc. on West Main Street in Bridgeport will host a trunk-or-treat event on Saturday, October 27 from 3-6 p.m.
  • The Salvation Army will host a Community Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 30 from 6-8 p.m. at The Salvation Army Church on Chestnut Street in Clarksburg.

  • White Oaks will host their first ever trunk-or-treat event in the Thrasher parking lot on Monday, October 29 from 5-7 p.m.


Lewis County

  • The city of Weston's 4th annual pumpkin drop will be held at Robert L. Bland Middle School's athletic field in Weston at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 28. A trunk-or-treat event will follow from 6-7:30 p.m.

  • Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital will host its annual Children’s Halloween Wellness and Safety Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 at the Weston Fire Department on Center Street.

  • The Louis Bennett Public Library in Weston will host a pumpkin-decorating contest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24.

Marion County

  • The Marion County Family Resource Network will host a trunk-or-treat event at Blue Prints, formerly Try Again Homes, on Locust Avenue in Fairmont on Saturday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Fall Fest will take place at Palatine Park on Saturday, October 27 from 2-5 p.m., which will include a trunk-or-treat event, live performances, local vendors and arts and crafts booths.
  • Fairmont Regional Medical Center will host a trunk-or-treat event on Wednesday, October 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. on the first floor of the facility.
  • The Marion County Public Library will hold a Halloween party on Friday, October 26 from 6:15-8:30 p.m. 
  • Skate-A-Way in Fairmont will host a Halloween party on Saturday, October 27 at 7 p.m.
  • Fairmont State University's chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers will hold a 'Color Me Creepy' Halloween 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 21 at the Monongah West Fork Rail-Trail at 2 p.m. Visit https://www.tristateracer.com/event.php?RaceID=10338 to register.

Monongalia County

  • Residential trick-or-treat in Morgantown will take place on Wednesday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m.
  • The 2018 Morgantown Zombie Walk will take place on High Street on Saturday, October 27 from 6-8:30 p.m. The walk begins at the Morgantown Farmers Market Pavilion on Spruce Street, and pre-walk events, including costume contests, giveaways and a food drive, begin at 6 p.m.
  • The Boo n' Brew Festival at the Morgantown Mall will take place on Saturday, October 27 from 2-6 p.m. Events include trick-or-treat for children inside the mall from 4-6 p.m., a Mario's Fishbowl tasting tent for adults, live entertainment, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, games, and costume contests.
  • Chestnut Ridge Park & Campground in Bruceton Mills will have their Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 20 from 3-5:30 p.m. Activities include a haunted hiking trail, haunted hayride, a zombie scavenger hunt, franken-golf and a bewitched bonfire. Activities are for all ages but are geared toward small children.
  • The Morgantown Moose Lodge #264 will host a kids Halloween party and hayride on Friday, October 26 from 7-10 p.m. at their location on Little Indian Creek Road.
  • Kids Kingdom on Mall Road in Morgantown will hold their 2nd annual Halloween party on Friday, October 26 from 5-9 p.m. Children can trick-or-treat through booths set up in their party room from 6-8 p.m., and a costume parade and contest will take place at 6:45 p.m. Regular admission of $10 per child applies.
  • Triple S. Harley-Davidson will host a trunk-or-treat event on Saturday, October 27 fro 2-5 p.m. in their parking lot.
  • Tropics & Triple S. Harley-Davidson will host a Boos & Brews Halloween party at Tropics on Saturday, October 27 from 6 p.m. to midnight with proceeds benefiting The Hoss Foundation. Events include a costume party, live entertainment, raffles, games, giveaways, live demonstrations from Mountainman Axe Throwing and a cornhole tent.
  • Tropics will also host a Halloween kids night & trunk-or-treat event on Friday, October 26 from 5-8 p.m., which will include trunk-or-treat, costume contests, prizes, face painting, balloon twisting and the opportunity to check out Tropics' new arcade.
  • The Mountaineer Area Council will host a trunk-or-treat event at their camp in Morgantown at 187 Camp Mountaineer Road on Sunday, October 28 from noon to 5 p.m.

Preston County

  • The town of Brandonville will hold trick-or-treat from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • The city of Kingwood will hold trick-or-treat from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • The town of Newburg will hold trick-or-treat from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • The town of Rowlesburg will hold trick-or-treat from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • The town of Terra Alta will hold trick-or-treat from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • Unincorporated areas of Preston County trick-or-treat hours are 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Randolph County

  • Residential trick-or-treat in Elkins will take place on Wednesday, October 31 from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Elkins Main Street's Downtown Trick-or-Treat event will take place on Friday, October 26 from 5-6 p.m.
  • Youth Health Service on Harrison Avenue in Elkins will hold its trunk-or-treat event on Friday, October 26 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • The Arts Center in Elkins will partner with the Randolph County Humane Society to throw a 'Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular' on Friday, October 26 from 4-6 p.m. at The Arts Center. A box for donations for the animal shelter will be placed at the entrance to the event, and donations are requested.
  • The Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department will host a trunk-or-treat event in Montrose on Friday, October 26 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Trick-or-treating in Harman is schedule for October 31 from 5-8 p.m.

Taylor County

  • Residential trick-or-treat in Grafton will take place on Wednesday, October 31 from 6-7 p.m.
  • A trunk-or-treat event will take place behind the Mother's Day Shrine in Grafton from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • The Tygart Lake State Park Foundation will hold their annual 'Terror on the Tygart Haunted Hayride' on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20 from 6-9:30 p.m. at Tygart Lake State Park. A $3 admission fee is requested, and the event is family friendly. There will also be live music, food and a costume contest.
  • The Genesis Healthcare Rosewood Center in Grafton will hold a trick-or-treat event on Monday, October 22 at 6 p.m.
  • Message of Freedom Ministries will hold their annual trunk-or-treat event from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, October 26.
  • Taylor Health Care Center will hold a trick-or-treat event from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • West Taylor Elementary School will hold their 7th annual Fall Fest from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 20.

Upshur County

  • The city of Buckhannon will hold trick-or-treat from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.
  • Upshur County's trick-or-treat hours are from 6-8 p.m. on Wednedsay, October 31.
  • A trunk-or-treat event will take place at the Buckhannon Public Safety Complex on Tuesday, October 30 from 6-8 p.m.
  • The Stockert Youth Community Center will host 'A Haunting' on Friday, October 26 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
