A Harrison County man is accused of beating a girl and two women Saturday in Shinnston.
David Doyle, 45, of Shinnston, first beat his girlfriend’s 17-year-old daughter, then punched his girlfriend when she tried to stop him, according to court documents.
Officers said, Doyle took the keys to a vehicle from his girlfriend, and when she tried to stop him, he punched her, knocked her to the ground and beat her head on the sidewalk before driving off. Doyle fled south on U.S. 19 from his girlfriend’s residence on Pike Street, driving to the Advance Auto parking lot, officers alleged.
Doyle then pulled the driver’s side open to another woman’s vehicle, then tried to pull her from her car. Officers said, as he punched this woman in the head, he told her he needed her car and was taking it.
Doyle is charged with first degree robbery. Doyle remains in the North Central Regional Jail on a $75,000 cash bond set by Harrison Chief Magistrate Mark Gorby.
