Michael Angelucci speaks on being elected to 50th Delegate District

Politics

With a very tight race in the House of Delegate ’50th Delegate District’ both democratic incumbents Linda Longstreth and Mike Caputo secured their seats for another term this previous Tuesday, but one incumbent did not re-enter, as democratic candidate Michael Angelucci won the third seat with a 18% to 17% – 59 vote lead against republican Guy Ward.

The three filled democratic seats mark the first time since 2016 that all seats were blue.

“We’ve all have the energy throughout the campaign because we’ve had so much support from the people of Marion County. They knew that between Mike, Linda and I, we were going to go to Charleston and fight for the hard-working people of West Virginia. So being out on the campaign trail, and having the people support and them pushing us forward kept us motivated throughout election night. So it’s a very surreal experience,” said Angelucci.

Angelucci told 12 News all representatives have already hit the ground running, and plan on continuing the fight for all hard-working West Virginians.
