Tuesday is National Voters Registration Day and the city of Bridgeport set up a pop-up registration at the Bridgeport Public Library. With the general election quickly approaching, the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office is encouraging all of those eligible to vote to get registered.

At the Harrison County Courthouse in the County Clerk’s office, citizens can register at anytime.

Tuesday’s event at the library lasts until 7 p.m.

“Basically we are just wanting to get as many people to register to vote as we can. It gives people the opportunity to register to early,” said Shelby Watkins, Bridgeport City Clerk.

Visit the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office website for more information on how to register to vote.
