Arthurdale to host weekend “baby goat yoga” class

Fans of yoga and even cute farm animals, there’s now an event for you.

Arthurdale Heritage will be holding baby goat yoga on Sunday, March 4.

Instructor Holly Groves will lead visitors though a yoga class at 3:00 p.m. accompanied by Arthurdale’s one-month old baby goats.

The staff at Arthurdale says this event isn’t just fun, it’s also a way to attract new visitors and raise money to maintain the historic buildings.

“Arthurdale Heritage was the nation’s first new deal community established in 1934,” said Executive Director Darlene Bolyard.  “It brought 165 families out of poverty and gave them a new chance at life.”

The class is $45 dollars and you must pre-register by e-mailing ahi@arthurdaleheritage.org or by calling call (304) 864-3959.

If you miss this yoga, there will be another event on March 18th.

Arthurdale Heritage will also be holding it’s annual Goat Gallop on June 16.
