Sixteen artists in Randolph County are working to create beautiful works of art for the Davis Health System Foundation on May 5.
Chairs were given to artists to paint and will be auctioned off to raise funds for the foundation and new medical center emergency department.
Local Artist Sara Ward said she was honored to be chosen to paint a chair and is happy to get to show off her work to the community.
“Sometimes artists, we have a hard time getting our art out there. So, for a big facility like Davis to pull artists in to do something like this its kind of, we appreciate it. We definitely encourage each other as artists,” said Ward.
Chairs are being completed and will be shown in local businesses throughout Elkins leading up to the event.
