The 2019 annual Ramps and Rail Festival was held on Saturday in Elkins.
The free and family friendly event includes live music, crafts sold by local vendors, and several varieties of foods made with ramps. Visitors were invited to vote for their favorite recipes. Three one-hour long train trips were also available.
This event has consistently been a fun experience for the local community.
“The actual event was put together so that we could provide an outlet for local people to not just display their wares, but to make money and to be part of the community and to also be able to hire local musicians and to help pay for things that they’re interested in,” said executive director of the Elkins Depot Welcome Center Anne Beardslee.
Every year the festival begins at 10 A.M. and ends at 5 P.M.
