The Elkins Police Department is partnering with local organizations to bring Christmas to children in need.  The second annual Shop with a Cop is geared to help children in unfortunate family situation hang out with local law enforcement to have a good Christmas.

Organizations like the Junior Women’s Club have donated money to the program and the officers enjoying taking the kids out for a great shopping adventure.

“The guys are still talking about how they enjoyed it last year.  It’s a good thing for our police officers to get out with the children and be able to associate with them in a good setting,” said Police Chief Glenn Galloway.

Cops shopped with 10 children last year, and the department hopes to get to more children this year. For more information on how to donate, visit Elkins City Hall.
