Governor Justice presents grant funding to community corrections

Randolph

Representatives from Barbour, Randolph, Taylor, and Tucker County Commissions and Community Corrections met in Elkins to receive grant funding.

Governor Jim Justice spoke with officials about the impact they have on the state and spoke in support of the work they accomplish each year.  Regional directors said they are happy to have the support for their organizations and the communities they serve.

“It shows us that he is willing to support the community corrections and the work that we do.  We try to help any of the citizens within our counties to help in getting them back on track,” said North Central WV Community Corrections Executive Director Erin Golden.

Each commission was awarded more than $100,000 to continue and grow programs.
