Community volunteers have spent the last few mornings sorting through clothes and preparing for the first God’s Closet Free Shop Day in Randolph County.
God’s Closet is partnering with the Adventist community to host a clothing sale for the community before school gets started. Families will have the chance to shop for clothing, shoes, bedding and more.
“I believe Randolph County really needs this service. I think there’s a lot of people that are feeling the financial crunch, and of course, right now it’s really important with school starting and parents needing lots of clothes and we have lots of clothes for them,” said God’s Closet Director Becca Jacko.
Volunteers are sorting through bags full of donations and getting them sorted for easy shopping.
The event will be hosted at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Elkins on Friday from 10 to 2.
