Rail accident in Randolph County sends two to hospital

BEMIS, W.Va. – Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after being thrown from a rail car in Randolph County.

It happened around 4:30 Saturday afternoon in Bemis, just east of Beverly.

Emergency officials say two people were injured after a single small rail car jumped off tracks in that area.

Both were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.

There’s no word on their names or conditions at this time.
