The Randolph County Humane Society hosted its annual ‘Wine, Spirits and Whiskers’ fundraiser Wednesday night at Vintage restaurant in downtown Elkins.
Randolph County Humane Society said their focus this year is supporting the community with low cost spay and neuter support programs. The humane society said they cannot offer those programs, such as spay and nueter, unless funds are raised, so they are reaching out to members of the community for help in numerous ways for support.
Live violin music was provided at this year’s ‘Wine, Spirits and Whiskers’ fundraiser fundraising event for attendees to enjoy.
“This particular event is more for operating support, we just finished our Spay-getti Dinner that raised quite a bit of money for our spay neuter program, so that will get us going in that area, but this is for operating support,” said Tina Vial, President of the Randolph County Humane Society.
On average, the ‘Wine, Spirits and Whiskers’ fundraiser raises more than $1,000 a year for the humane society. They are also in need of animal food, kitty litter, toys, and blankets for the animals.
