Inmate accidentally released from jail in Ohio

An inmate was accidentally released from the Trumbull County Jail on Tuesday night.

A corrections officer contacted Trumbull County Sheriff’s deputies for assistance locating Jose Morales, Jr., who was released from the jail.

Morales had been jailed Tuesday on a domestic violence charge, according to jail records. An arraignment on the charge is scheduled Thursday.

Deputies learned that Morales went to work, but he was contacted and agreed to return home, where he was arrested.

He was taken back to the jail without incident, and investigators noted that he was cooperative.
