Amazon’s new E-commerce distribution center in Frederick County, Va. is temporarily closing and will be resuming construction.
The distribution center opened in October 2017 to help Amazon fulfill its holiday orders.
Officials say the one million sq. ft. facility is worth about $57 million.
Once the center is fully operational, the facility is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.
“Amazon is really excited to be opening up a new fulfillment center early fall, late summer this year and anyone interested in getting jobs there can go to amazondelivers.jobs,” said Lauren Lynch, Amazon spokeswoman.
Lynch continued to say jobs are expected to be posted this upcoming summer for roles of picking, packing, and shipping customer orders.
