FAIRMONT, W.Va.-The Fairmont community celebrated local non-profit organizations on Saturday at the Spring Into Action fair.
The money gathered from fundraisers throughout the year goes to the non-profit organizations, which is celebrated with an annual street fair. The fair features food trucks and live musical performances as well as special activities for children.
This fair is designed to help the community continue to receive services.
“We have to give money back to these non-profits in order for people in the community to get the help that they need, so the non-profits in the area rely on fundraisers like the one that we’re doing today in order to fund that to help people in the community,” said organizer Jessica Hayes.
Local organizations set up tables to spread information and collect donations.
