Buckhannon to host Revenue Review town hall

The City of Buckhannon is looking to get input from its community on possible changes to its budget in coming years.

The city is holding a Revenue Review Town Hall meeting Tuesday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. City officials want to share the city’s financial situation with residents, and discuss possible ways the city has available to raise more money as budgets get tighter.

“The revenue committee has looked at a couple of options of how they could increase revenue so that we’re able to meet those needs, and those will be presented, and then we’ll welcome input from our citizens at that time,” said City Grant Writer Callie Cronin-Sams.

Officials said the city’s finances are in good condition, but they’re looking at solutions now, so they can take action when it’s needed.
