DEP to hold tire collection in Upshur County, statewide

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection will be helping residents around the state dispose of old tires.

The DEP’s first event is this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Division of Highways Garage in Buckhannon.

Residents can bring 10 tires per person, and the DEP will only accept car or light truck tires.

Events will also be held in Monongalia, Harrison and Randolph Counties later this month.

You must have a valid ID to prove residency.
