Spaghetti dinner being held to benefit Upshur County baby

Organizers for a spaghetti dinner in Upshur County are asking for help supporting a local baby and her family.

Charlotte Davis was diagnosed with a rare condition that leaves her vulnerable to something as simple as a common cold.

She’s spent almost three weeks in the hospital in her four months, much of that on life support due to her condition.

Now friends of the family are holding the dinner to help them get through the treatment and the bills.

“It affects her blood sugar, her sodium, her potassium, and if she would get dehydrated she would go into shock,” said Ashley Howard, who is organizing the event for Charlotte’s family.

The dinner will be Saturday from 1-5 p.m. at the Buckhannon Eagles building. For tickets or more information, call (304) 613-3837.
