A local college has announced a new partnership to add a new pre-med program.
West Virginia Wesleyan College has partnered with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine to start a new Pre-Osteopathic program in Buckhannon.
The new program will provide Wesleyan students a chance to network with other medical students and take advantage of shadowing opportunities.
Wesleyan staff said it is a perfect fit.
“It speaks directly to the level of quality that our biology program has enjoyed in the region and nationally for a long time, and sciences here at Wesleyan in general,” said Academic Dean James Moore.
Wesleyan is the seventh school to establish this kind of program with WVSOM in the state.
