With cannabis being a popular topic around the nation, some West Virginians decided it’s time to take action.
A statewide rally was held for the legalization of marijuana on Saturday.
One rally was held at Jack Roberts Park in Morgantown and included several speakers in support of the legalization of marijuana both medicinally and recreationally.
“Unfortunately our legislature has not been with the people on this aspect so we are wanting to really get the information and the conversation started everywhere across the state,” said Caressa Stoller, organizer.
Candidates speaking at the rally said they felt like more than 70 percent of the people in West Virginia are for the legalization of marijuana.
