Fallout 76’s ‘Country Roads’ Cover hits top of the singles chart

Just one day after it was released on iTunes, the Copilot Music + Sound cover of “Country Roads” is topping the charts.  According to musicchartfeeds.com, the song is number one on the U.S. iTunes singles chart.  The ranking was announced on July 5, 2018.

ROCKVILLE, MD (WOWK) – The cover of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” featured in Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 76 trailer is now on sale for just a dollar, with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

Bethesda announced the promotion on their official Twitter account towards the start of June.

The song went live on July 4th, 2018.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat works in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.

There are a number Habitat organizations in West Virginia, including Kanawha and Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, that WOWK 13 News has worked with numerous times.

According to Polygon, the song was made by Copilot Music + Sound, a music production shop based in New York.

Fallout 76 launches on November 14th, 2018, on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
