The West Virginia Division of Highways advises drivers that there will be a road closure on Route 50 westbound lanes in Harrison County. Both westbound lanes will be closed.
This closure will begin Thursday, August 30, at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Friday, August 31.
The purpose for the closure is emergency deck repair.
The Downtown Salem exit will be open to detour traffic. Eastbound lanes will be open during the the closure.
The exit ramp has a lane restriction of 16 feet. All super/wide loads will not be able to use Downtown Salem exit to detour through the city of Salem.
The Division of Highways has advised drivers to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute. Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances could change this project schedule.
