WBOY launched the new 12SportsZone Twitter account this week to better deliver coverage of high school, college and pro sports from all over North Central West Virginia.
The account officially launched on Wednesday, and is prepared to offer full coverage of high school football games all across North Central West Virginia starting Friday.
The account will offer sports news, score updates and much more.
“We recognize how important high school sports are in North Central West Virginia, and decided we needed to dedicate an account to delivering the updates on high school sports that our viewers deserve,” said Jim Dodrill, General Manager of WBOY.
“We have the largest social media following on Facebook and Twitter of any media company in our area, so it is important that we give the same level of social media presence to our sports-related news, especially high school sports,” Dodrill said.
The official handle for the account is @12SportsZone and viewers are encouraged to follow the account to stay up to date on the latest sports-related news in the area.
